Southern European opening expands Solos’ global footprint to six markets, with U.S. capacity coming online next.

Alcàsser, Valencia, Spain, January 21, 2026 — Solos, a subsidiary of global beverage ingredient solutions provider Prodalim, today announced the opening of its purpose-built no- and low-alcohol (NoLo) production facility in Valencia, Spain. Officially inaugurated on January 15 and now fully operational, the site expands Solos’ global co-manufacturing platform to six markets and positions the company to lead the next phase of premium NoLo wine production.

According to recent analysis from IWSR1, NoLo wine is one of the fastest-growing segments in beverage alcohol. Solos’ 2,400-square-meter Valencia facility, with annual capacity of up to 16 million liters and serving markets across Spain and southern France, signals a step-change in NoLo wine quality. It brings Solos’ breakthrough Aroma Recovery System into Southern Europe, pairing advanced manufacturing capacity with a technical solution designed to unlock premium NoLo wine.

Enabling True-to-Source Premium NoLo Wines

Developed over more than a decade of deep R&D, Solos’ Aroma Recovery System (ARS) addresses the central technical barrier that has long constrained NoLo wine quality: aroma loss. Solos’ patented approach uses solid-phase extraction to capture a comprehensive spectrum of volatile aroma compounds directly from a wine’s liquid distillate. These compounds are reintroduced after dealcoholization, carrying the wine’s original aroma fingerprint through to its final NoLo expression.

By preserving aroma without the need for reformulation or additive correction, Solos creates NoLo wines that remain true to source and retain the ability to be labeled as “wine” under EU standards. At the Valencia facility, Solos integrates proprietary aroma recovery with gentle vacuum dealcoholization via a Centec DeAlcoTec column, also offering pilot trials, product development and finishing, and on-site bottling, delivering a fully integrated pathway from validation to market.

“The opening of our Valencia facility marks a meaningful milestone for Solos and for premium no- and low-alcohol wine,” said Pedro García, General Manager of Solos. “With advanced technology and a strong on-the-ground team now in place, this facility positions us to deliver both quality and capacity as international demand for premium NoLo continues to grow. We’re excited about what lies ahead as we expand partnerships and support the next phase of the category.”

Global Scale, Built for What’s Next

With the Valencia facility now live, Solos operates across six global markets, with service centers supporting wine producers in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, and Spain, and U.S. operations progressing toward launch. The Valencia site represents a critical step in Solos’ global scale-up, extending its manufacturing platform and reinforcing its ability to serve the world’s most relevant wine markets through localized infrastructure and technical depth.

“This opening makes Solos’ long-term vision tangible,” said Claudia Geyer, Chief Technology Officer of Solos. “It is the result of years of focused R&D and close collaboration across teams, and a reminder of the persistence that has shaped Solos from day one. Valencia marks the starting line for our next chapter of meaningful, uncompromising innovation.” Joining Geyer and García at the plant opening were representatives from Prodalim, Centec, and Weingut Bergdolt-Reif & Nett.
